A 10 minute ascent brings you from the edge of Howe Sound to the heights of the Coastal Range. Once at the top, take in the view along the numerous trails and overlooks. The Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge is also a thrill.
Across the Strait of Georgia, along the eastern coast of Vancouver Island, is Nanaimo. Due to geography, the area is oddly mild and boasts a Mediterranean climate. The region is largely forested with numerous inlets and islands off the coast.
One of the oldest cities in the Pacific Northwest, Victoria boasts colonial architecture and the second oldest Chinatown in North America, after San Francisco. The city is dotted with numerous parks, gardens, and historical sights.
