This British Columbia Provincial Park features one of the most accessible stands of old growth giant Douglas Firs in Canada. Located west of the town of Qualicum Beach, the park features numerous trails though the famous Cathedral Grove as well as along the banks of Cameron Lake.
Trails meander through the forest on either side of Hwy 4. To the south are some of the largest Douglas Firs - one with a circumference over 29 feet. To the north of the highway the trails wander through groves of Western Red Cedar. Trails in the park are well marked and are generally flat and easily accessible to hikers of all ability levels.
Trails are open during daylight hours.
No admission is charged at Provincial Parks however parking is limited and may fill during peak visitation hours. Visiting earlier in the morning or later in the evening will mean fewer crowds and a more enjoyable experience.
