Glacially carved Lake Crescent rests in the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains, about 18 miles west of Port Angeles.
The area around the lake offers numerous opportunities for hiking, including the Devil's Punchbowl, Marymere Falls, and Storm King. Madison Falls is also nearby in the Elwha Valley.
